Members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) have said they want Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to stay in office even after 2025.
They made this announcement during the NULGE DAY celebration in Akure, the capital of the state.
The President of NULGE in the state, Fredrick Akinrilola, explained that Governor Aiyedatiwa has been taking good care of their needs and has worked hard to make their jobs better. That’s why the union decided to support him.
Governor Aiyedatiwa promised that workers would no longer receive part or percentage-based salaries. He also approved leave bonuses for civil servants and thanked the union for their support and the award they gave him.
He said, “I understand that you all didn’t come out today just to make a show of numbers. You are here to express your solidarity with me, and I am deeply appreciative of that.”
