The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) was founded in 1978 with series of objectives covering: Organization of workers who are qualified for membership, establishment and maintenance of just and proper hours of works, rates payable and conditions of service.
This also includes, building rapports between Labour and Employers, securing benefits for workers, boosting teamwork and satisfaction among workers and establishing and maintaining high standard of conditions of service/workmanship and professional practices.
The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees of Nigeria (NULGE) in Ondo State, apart from the above-named roles and objectives, has further diversified into various areas of benefits to the teaming members. Constant encouragement in cash, kind, career development and social incentives geared towards improving the living standards of members are also accorded high premium.
As a body saddled with protecting the interest of its members, the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Ondo-State chapter also embarked on the facilitation of soft loans in conjunction with financial institutions for the benefits of members on low interest rate. This also includes the construction of clinics and provision of drugs and other medicals in the quest to ensure qualitative healthy living for members of Staff.
